MOU between SGBC and Tanzania GBC

Singapore Green Building Council and Tanzania Green Building Council

Tanzania Green Building Council (TZGBC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in the building and construction industry. The purpose of this collaboration, facilitated by GreenA Consultants, is one whereby SGBC mentors the development of TZGBC and support the development of green buildings in Tanzania.

This MOU was signed during SGBC’s 5^th Anniversary Gala dinner in 2014 and World GBC Asia Pacific Regional Awards Presentation held in Fairmont Hotel.

Objectives:

Sharing of tools, research and information regarding green building as well as the promotion of Green Buildings in Tanzania
SGBC guides TZGBC in the implementation and planning of the inaugural East Africa Green Building Conference in March 2015

The MOU was signed by TZGBC President, Mr Ngiwisa Mpembe and SGBC’s President, Mr Ng Eng Kiong. The event was graced by Minister of Environment and Resources, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.
