More than just a building, it’s a catalyst for community engagement and development, fostering local livelihoods, education, and cultural preservation. It also serves as a forum for tackling local challenges, promoting environmental stewardship, and advancing sustainable practices, strengthening the resilience and social fabric of the Kerinci community.
Designed to embody the spirit of the village, the centre integrates urban farming initiatives and innovative waste management systems. The site features dedicated areas for organic waste composting and sustainable farming practices, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Cultural richness permeates the building’s design, with traditional batik patterns intricately woven into its architecture, showcasing local artistry and craftsmanship. Additionally, the centre boasts a public sports hall and an outdoor amphitheatre, further enhancing its role as a dynamic hub for communal gatherings and activities.
Lighting Control
Provided at ≥ 80% of transient and occupied areas. The lighting control method is using occupancy / vacancy sensing. Each device controls an area:
