Location: Asia, Singapore
Located in Singapore, the logistics facility aims to achieve enhanced ecological sustainability as part of the BiodiverCity Life Label certification. The project integrates a suite of green features, including the promotion of biodiversity through native plant and animal species, strategic landscape management, and innovative rooftop interventions. These efforts are designed to create a harmonious balance between built-up spaces and natural ecosystems, significantly improving the ecological potential of the site.
Development of Shrub Layers
The project incorporates short flowering and non-flowering shrubs beneath existing trees to attract pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds. Specific species such as Parrot Heliconia and Red Button Ginger were recommended. This intervention fosters ecological diversity and provides habitat enrichment for native species
Water Bodies and Features
The introduction of rain gardens, standalone birdbaths, and a dragonfly pond emphasizes water-based ecological features. These additions aim to attract birds, dragonflies, and other fauna while enhancing aesthetic and functional elements of the landscape.
Rooftop Farming and Circularity
The project features rooftop planter boxes for growing herbs, promoting on-site food production and waste-to-food circularity. Kitchen and landscape waste are composted to create natural fertilizers, reducing dependency on synthetic inputs while contributing to a sustainable landscape management approach.
Our Involvement
