Location: Asia, Singapore
ABI Plaza is an existing office building strategically located along Keppel Road, a prime location that provides an ideal base for companies operating in the Central Business District (CBD). The building is undergoing a significant energy transformation, targeting the prestigious Green Mark Super Low Energy (SLE) certification and EDGE Advanced and Zero Carbon accreditation, reflecting its ambitious goals to minimize and manage Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions.
Efficient Cooling System
The outdated chiller plant will be replaced with a state-of-the-art system, incorporating a measurement and verification mechanism to ensure optimal performance. The air distribution system will also be upgraded to use EC (electronically commutated) fans, enhancing energy efficiency. Designed to achieve a Total System Efficiency (TSE) of 0.68 kW/RT, the new cooling system will include advanced controls to adapt to periods of low usage and reduced heat loads.
Smart Lighting System
The lighting system has been redesigned to meet the stringent Lighting Power Budget (LPB) requirements of Green Mark 2021 SLE standards. Energy-efficient lighting, combined with smart controls, adjusts based on daylight availability and occupancy patterns, further reducing energy consumption.
Electrical Sub-metering
Sub-meters will be installed to monitor energy usage for lighting, lifts, and mechanical ventilation systems. This improvement will enable easier management, precise tracking, and better optimization of energy consumption across different building operations.
Solar PV Installation
Despite limited rooftop space, ABI Plaza has maximized its available area to install solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, harnessing as much renewable energy as possible.
