Singapore Discovery Centre’s Positive Energy Achievement: Another Step Forward for Singapore Museum

Singapore, 1 June 2024

GreenA Consultants proudly announces our significant contribution to the Singapore Discovery Centre’s Positive Energy project, a remarkable achievement in energy resilience. In a land-scarce nation like Singapore, achieving 15% more energy onsite and verified is no small feat, especially for a retrofitted building bustling with media games, shops, and a cinema. Initially aimed at upgrading the chiller system to meet Green Mark Gold standards, the project evolved over six years into an ambitious journey towards Zero Energy, culminating in a Positive Energy outcome. This success is a testament to meticulous planning, patience, and the unwavering support from the leadership team at SDC. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Net Zero Exhibition at SDC, showcasing innovations like the Agrivoltaics Garden and smart facilities management powered by digital IoT solutions!

Energy Resilience. That is what positive energy is part of. Onsite & Verified with 15% more energy.
Never easy to come by in land scarce Singapore even more so for a retrofitted building packed with media games, shops, cinema ,etc.

6 years ago , the goal / budget was just to change the chiller and go for GM Gold. I took the plunge and presented a path to Zero and even spoke on doing scope 3. Now we are positive. Takeaway is:

– Planning , patience and learning to be less critical.
– Great leaders make a difference , tribute to past and present leadership teams at SDC. Thank you for your support.

So touched as we are mentioned and recognised at the Defence Collective Singapore event. Simple acts of appreciation and compassion boast our spirit to go further and higher and carry on doing what we are doing .
